MCArthurGlen Designer Outlet Cheshire Oaks
CLIENT: Mace
START DATE: February 2018
WORKS UNDERTAKEN
The 25000 sq ft extension to Cheshire Oaks designer outlet comprised 20 plus new shops/eateries housed in seven separate buildings together with a new single storey car park, play area and over 7000m2 of new granite paving throughout the outlet village. Works were carried out to allow all existing shops to remain open at all time to minimise disruption to the general public.
QED delivered the foundations and drainage along with insitu retaining walls for this complex contract, we worked closely with Goldbeck, a specialist Germany based multi storey car park provider installing foundation bases with high tolerance steel plate bases that are welded to the frame, this high speed installation allowed for completion of the car park in under 20 weeks. QED in conjunction with Mace and Hardscape Ltd designed and delivered over 7000m2 of new granite setts and paving slabs taking up the existing paving as works progressed.
QED on completion of the works for Mace undertook the construction of a new bus terminus area for MacArthurGlen to allow easier access to the centre for the public.
