Deeside Industrial Units

Deeside Regeneration Ltd employed Eric Wright Construction to undertake the construction of three warehousing units to provide 84,000 sq ft of quality multi-unit development.  Sold to Ivor Williams Trailers Ltd, the units build on the site of a former RAF base provided new employment opportunities to the area.

Initially undertaking a remediation strategy to remove contaminated waste from areas of the site identified by the ground report, QED then removed and crushed hardstanding areas to create 6F2 fill and installed the foundation bases for the new units.  We installed the drainage and ducts for the project, including a Pumping Station & numerous attenuation tanks, installed porous paving to car park areas and laid kerbing in preparation for tarmac works.

The works also involved the De – Watering of the site for all deep excavation’s and the need to deal with unexploded ordnance left over from its previous use as an RAF base.
